Empowering empathetic, high-impact leaders
The Think Like a Coach programme helps organisations develop empathetic managers who inspire high-performing, motivated teams.
It is built around five key learning outcomes:
- Developing coach-like curiosity
- Knowing when to coach vs when to mentor
- Practicing the three principles of being a coach-like manager
- Using the coaching two-step
- Confidently coaching your team
The three principles of a coach-like manager
Listen, don’t fix
The value you bring is not your answers but a non-judgemental ear. Mostly, people just want to be heard.
Ask first, tell last
Telling someone what to do disempowers them and reduces their ability to come up with solutions on their own.
You follow, they lead
Put aside your assumptions of what you think the problem and solution are and let them tell you.
How it works
We begin by setting the programme up for success by working collaboratively with your organisation to establish clear goals and metrics for measuring success.
Through discussion with you as well as a comprehensive review of available data, we ensure we have a full understanding of your organisations needs and priorities.
We also survey participants to assess benchmark skills and knowledge gaps, providing valuable insight into areas where growth is needed.
The outcome of this phase is a bespoke Think Like A Coach programme, tailored to your organisation’s unique challenges and opportunities, with clearly defined measures of success.

"Acheiving so much more"
It's challenging not to jump in and tell my team the answers but I've been trying hard not to and we are achieving so much more than we did 2 months ago.

"Getting to real issues faster"
I've been transparent with the team about adopting a coaching style and I told them that I'm learning how to use it more so they have been really open to it. I feel like I know them more and I'm getting to the real issues faster.

"A real game changer"
I am doing a lot of psychometric test debriefs at work at the minute and that simple "tell me more " has been a real game changer in the way employees dig deeper into the different facets and tell me how it affects them 😊
