Here’s a simple but powerful tip that can make a world of difference as a manager or team member.

Believe it or not, according to a recent study by the Chartered Management Institute, 28% of people left their jobs due to strained relationships with their managers. Ouch!
I’m going to show how to be the person people stick with and not run from.
Now, we all know the classic “good job” and “thanks,” but let’s kick it up a notch. Instead of generic praise, try something like this:
👏 “I appreciate your unwavering persistence.”
🌞 “I appreciate your infectious positivity.”
⏳ “I appreciate your incredible patience.”
I recently introduced this idea to a group of new managers I’m working with, and you know what they said? It felt amazing both giving and receiving this kind of appreciation. It felt personal, like someone truly cared and saw them for who they are.
It works really well in your personal relationships too. Especially the ones where you’re close enough to think you don’t have to.
